Coming Soon: New Payment Options, Added Layer of Data Security, and More
The Doctors Company is committed to helping you service your clients and manage your agency/brokerage efficiently. We are in the process of modernizing our payment system by making it simpler with faster and more flexible payment options.
For the first feature coming in August, we will be notifying you and your clients that 24/7 phone payments will be accepted. Your clients will be able to call and pay their premium at their convenience—morning, noon, or night. In the fall, we will be rolling out an online payment system that will give your clients more secure payment options—including Apple Pay, Google Pay, eCheck, Venmo, credit card, and PayPal—that they can do easily with no login required.
Cyberattacks are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and are a tremendous threat to all businesses. Data security and protecting the personal and professional information of all our agents/brokers and members is a top priority for The Doctors Company. As you know, implementing multifactor authentication has been optional for quite some time when accessing our portals. This will change on September 10, and it will be a mandatory data security precaution for everyone who uses the Agent/Broker and Member portals.
Setting up multifactor authentication is simple and should only take you a couple minutes. All portal users will be required to have their own unique username and password. In addition, there will be two types of authentication factors accepted by The Doctors Company to gain access to the portal. You can either receive a code via an SMS text message or a voice phone call.
We are actively working on new features of the portal that will improve the ease of doing business together, so stay tuned for exciting updates on what we have in store for you and your clients.

Survey Reveals Only 12 Percent of Physicians Likely to Recommend Medicine as a Career

Our new physician survey reveals a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of -52 for professional satisfaction, with only 12 percent of physicians recommending medicine as a career to others. The top reason: 64 percent of physicians named misinformation on social media as the most challenging part of practicing medicine.
Between December 2024 and January 2025, we gathered 368 physicians’ answers to 11 questions, keeping our survey’s time window brief to capture an accurate snapshot of our respondents’ sentiments toward their calling in that moment.
These findings reflect clinicians’ efforts to navigate their increasingly complex environment—one in which professional autonomy and fulfillment are being compromised. Our concern for clinicians’ work environment and our deep alignment with the medical profession drive our Future of Healthcare series.
At The Doctors Company, we recognize that today’s healthcare professionals are practicing under extraordinary pressure. For nearly 50 years, we have remained steadfast in our belief that medicine is a noble calling, and we have stood as a strong ally to the medical profession and your clients.
New Closed Claims Study for Your Dentist Clients
In the world of dentistry, where many clinicians operate independently, the true incidence of adverse events can be obscured. By systematically analyzing a group of closed malpractice claims, we can identify significant trends and underlying risk factors that may otherwise go unnoticed. Our new Dental Closed Claims Study draws on The Doctors Company’s distinctive dataset to offer evidence-based insights that support targeted improvements in patient safety and clinical outcomes.
Please share this valuable resource with your dentist clients so that it may help them design risk mitigation strategies to reduce malpractice risk.
