Leadership Moves

We are pleased to announce the addition and promotion of two key leaders in Business Development for The Doctors Company.

Angela Flanagan has joined The Doctors Company as Vice President of Business Development in Region III, reporting to Interim Senior Vice President and Regional Operating Officer Christian Groux. She is responsible for leading business development initiatives, strategy, and sales programs for Region III.

Angela brings more than 17 years of business development, sales, and leadership experience, with a strong track record of driving profitable growth, building strategic agency relationships, and developing healthcare professional liability insurance business throughout the Southeastern United States.

Most recently, Angela served as Healthcare Business Development Manager, Southeast Region, at Coverys, where she led business development across an eight-state territory. During her tenure, she delivered more than 20 percent year-over-year territory growth and earned the company’s Strategic Growth Recognition Award for two consecutive years. She also spearheaded a predictive analytics initiative and built strategic relationships with physicians, hospitals, agencies, and medical societies.

Angela’s previous experience also includes leadership and sales roles with Gallagher, MagMutual, Brown & Brown Insurance, and Allstate Insurance.

Angela studied business management at the University of Florida and Saint Leo Catholic University. She also holds a Florida 220 Property and Casualty Agent license.

Zach Manoogian, RPLU, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President of National Business Development. Zach brings extensive industry experience and a strong understanding of underwriting, distribution, and broker relationships. Most recently, he served as Assistant Vice President of Business Development for Region II, leading distribution strategy and market growth across Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

Zach joined The Doctors Company as a Senior Underwriter for the Underwriting Department in the previous Northeast region’s complex team. Prior to working for The Doctors Company, Zach was employed at CNA Insurance, where he was a member of their healthcare underwriting segment, as well as having previously served as a producer for SCW Agency Group.

Zach earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Ohio State University. He holds a Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) designation and a property and casualty (P&C) license.
