Company-Sponsored Optional Activities

• Chillon Castle Visit: Take a day trip to one of Europe’s most fascinating castles—the Château Chillon. Located on a rock on the banks of Lake Geneva, this thousand-year-old historical water castle is one of the biggest attractions in Switzerland, hiding relics of different eras, wealth, and legends. You'll have the chance to view the largest collection of medieval chests in Europe, as well as wall paintings from the 14th century, the subterranean vaults, parade halls, and the bedroom (preserved in its original form) dating to the time of Bernese rule. The entire complex consists of 25 buildings and three courtyards, protected by two circular walls.
• Chocolate Workshop and City Tour of Vevey: A must for chocolate lovers! You’ll arrive at a private atelier and become a chocolatier for an afternoon, creating your very own handcrafted, personalized chocolate bar. After sampling plenty of scrumptious chocolates and cocoa beans from different countries, you can work off the calories with a guided walking tour of Vevey. Starting at the idyllic lakeside promenade, you’ll stroll through the old town with its alleyways, historic buildings, and boutiques, with a stop at the Grande Place (market square).
• Excursion to Gruyères—Land of Cheese: Hop aboard the world’s first fully panoramic train in first-class seats and become immersed in the surrounding Swiss landscape, including Lake Geneva, rolling hills, and traditional villages on a one-hour trip to the village of Gruyères. In this day excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the Château de Gruyères (Gruyères Castle)—one of the most prestigious castles in Switzerland—and enjoy a three-course fondue and raclette lunch.
• Excursion to Bern—Capital of Switzerland: The Swiss capital is a complete work of art. With its UNESCO-listed old town, cathedral, clock tower, fountains, and numerous arcades (covered walkways), Bern is one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities. You’ll be given a comprehensive tour of Instagram-worthy spots all over the city with a break for a three-course lunch at Kornhauskeller, a unique bar and restaurant in the most magnificent vaulted cellar in the “federal city.”
• Glacier Experience: Located near Gstaad, an excursion to the summit of Glacier 3000 will give you breathtaking panoramic views of impressive alpine vistas like the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc, in addition to 24 other mountains at over 13,000 feet in elevation. After two cable car rides up to the top, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the alpine coaster, glacier snow bus, and the “Peak Walk by Tissot” on the world’s first and only suspension bridge that connects two mountain peaks, and then have lunch at Restaurant Botta on top of the glacier.
• Shopping Excursion in Lausanne: Round-trip transportation will be provided to Place Saint-François, the social center of Lausanne. Enjoy the surrounding boutiques, chocolatiers, jewelry shops, and Bongénie Lausanne, the city’s largest department store with over 250 high-end and trendy brands.
• Spa and Relaxation at the Hotel: Pamper yourself and spend an indulgent, lazy afternoon in the tranquil embrace of the Guerlain Spa. With a wide range of signature treatments, this top-of-the-line spa takes pride in its pioneering expertise in facials and unique know-how for the body. The spa provides relaxation areas such as the “Suite Orchidée Impériale,” including a private garden, seven massage and beauty rooms, as well as a specific treatment room for the hairdresser. Various water treatments are also offered, such as the tropical rain walk, the Turkish bath, the sauna, the jacuzzi, a 50-foot indoor swimming pool, and a 65-foot outdoor pool.
• Tasting in the Lavaux Vineyards with Optional Activities in the Vineyards: If you’re a wine connoisseur, this is a road trip you won’t want to miss. The Lavaux Vineyards offer a wonderful opportunity to taste some of the most delectable wines in Switzerland. Situated within the canton of Vaud along the shores of Lake Geneva, Lavaux and its terraced vineyards are a world-renowned example of a centuries-old method of cultivating wine on steep hillsides using terraces. You’ll be served a three-course lunch overlooking the region’s stunning natural beauty and have the opportunity to take a hike, a tuk-tuk ride, or an e-bike tour through the vineyards.
• VIP Golf: Golfers rejoice: Take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete with your peers in Switzerland at the Golf Club de Lausanne, a private golf club only open to members or visiting foreign players. This course has a highly technical layout at an altitude of nearly 2,800 feet. Just a few miles from the Beau-Rivage Palace on the hills above the city, competitors will be blessed with exceptional views of the Alps and the Jura Mountains while navigating most holes through woods of majestic chestnut, birch, and fir trees.
• Walking Tour of Lausanne: Go for a guided 90-minute walking tour of Lausanne to discover some of the city’s highlights such as the majestic Lausanne Cathedral with panoramic views, the historic Escaliers du Marché, the Place de la Riponne, and the Place de la Palud with its medieval fountain and animated clock that tells the story of the city.
