Online Premium Indication Improves Ease of Doing Business
Our Online Premium Indication in the Agent/Broker Portal provides you with a quick quote estimate in a matter of minutes for practice sizes of one to 10 clinicians. By answering some basic policy questions and providing a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number or state medical license number, you’ll quickly receive a premium estimate that you can email or print out and present to your prospect. If the premium indication is satisfactory, use the Upload Submission Documents feature available through the portal to secure a bindable quote, or a quote with subjectivities. Our Definition of a Complete Standard Submission guide provides more information on the differences between the two types of quotes.
To access the Online Premium Indication, go to the Quotes and Applications tab in the Agent/Broker Portal and select Get a Quote. Then select either individual physician, surgeon premium indication, or group premium indication for up to 10 providers. Both claims-made and occurrence premium indications are available with specific limits based upon the state where your prospect practices.

Top Contributing Factors Explored in New Closed Claims Analysis
We regularly provide you with effective and actionable tools that demonstrate the expertise and value we bring to your clients.
A revealing analysis of closed claims among all medical specialties from The Doctors Company was published in the peer-reviewed, open access journal Risk Management and Healthcare Policy. The study, “Analysis of Closed Claims Among All Medical Specialties: Importance of Communication and Other Non-Clinical Contributing Factors,” examines the reasons behind why non-clinical issues are found to be more frequent in claims associated with indemnity and provides strategies to avoid common factors contributing to lawsuits.
Please share this valuable resource with your clients of all specialties so that it may inform them of these findings and help them design risk mitigation strategies to improve patient safety and reduce malpractice risk.
Bob White Explains the Benefits of Having a Member-Owned Insurer
Robert E. White Jr., President of TDC Group, explains in an article several reasons why it’s important for physicians to understand the benefits of being insured by a member-owned company as opposed to one owned by shareholders. He outlines the key points as to why choosing a medical malpractice insurer involves more than just reviewing the cost of premiums—physicians must consider which insurer has their best interests at heart.
If you have clients who are considering switching carriers, or are new to medical malpractice insurance altogether, please share this article with them to help them make the right decision.
Proxy Outreach to Your Clients
In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to a select group of insureds/members where we do not have their proxy on record. This outreach is an essential part of our efforts to engage with them to ensure they have the opportunity to vote on important company issues.
We value your partnership and appreciate your understanding as we undertake this important communication campaign. Please rest assured that our outreach will be conducted in a respectful and professional manner, always adhering to the terms of our agency agreement.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our plans to contact our insureds/members, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Business Development representative. We are committed to open communication and transparency with our valued agents and brokers.
