Suicide and Crisis Lifeline: Call or Text 988

In July 2022, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the transition of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline to 988, an easy-to-remember three-digit number for 24/7 crisis care.

The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which also links to the Veterans Crisis Line, is a network of more than 200 state and local call centers supported by HHS through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Help is available for anyone struggling or in crisis. Call or text 988.
