Leadership Moves

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new leaders in Patient Safety and Risk Management and National Business Development for The Doctors Company.

Jeff Brady, MD, MPH, joined The Doctors Company’s Region II as Vice President of Patient Safety and Risk Management, reporting to Region II Regional Operating Officer and TDC Group Senior Vice President of Business Development Laura Kline, MBA, CPCU, CIC. He will be responsible for leading and advancing the company’s patient safety and risk management initiatives through strategic business development, exceptional member service, and operational excellence.

Jeff is an experienced leader in patient safety improvement and healthcare quality. For more than 20 years, his professional focus has been on bringing together people and organizations with different perspectives to collaborate, drive, and support innovation that will advance health. He has served in leadership roles in the private sector and federal government, including with the Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Public Health Service, U.S. Navy, and Highmark Health. Jeff actively contributes to the field as a member of advisory committees and boards convened by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the Partnership for Quality Measurement (for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), the Leapfrog Group, and others. He served as a commissioned officer in both the Navy and Public Health Service, retiring from active duty in 2019 at the rank of Rear Admiral / Assistant Surgeon General.

Jeff attended the Medical College of Georgia; completed internship training in internal medicine at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California; and earned a master’s degree in public health from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed the Navy’s General Preventive Medicine Residency, also at USUHS, and is board certified in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine.

Jesse Lyons joined The Doctors Company as Vice President of National Business Development, reporting to Region II Regional Operating Officer and TDC Group Senior Vice President of Business Development Laura Kline, MBA, CPCU, CIC. He will be responsible for leading the company’s national broker strategy, driving revenue, building sustained partnerships, and meeting profitability targets.

Jesse has been in the insurance industry for 30 years. The past 22 years have been focused on healthcare professional liability along with associated lines of insurance for physician practices, hospitals, and healthcare systems. He spent six years at an insurance agency as a producer / sales manager and 16 years on the insurance carrier side leading business development teams. Prior to his insurance career, he spent seven years in the U.S. Air Force. He attained the rank of Captain and served as a B-52 Navigator and Radar Navigator.

Jesse received his bachelor of science in business administration, majoring in finance, from the University of Southwest Louisiana and his master of business administration degree in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
