Medical Advantage Subsidiary Sold
We recently announced the sale of our Medical Advantage subsidiary to Aledade, the nation’s largest network of physician-led value-based care.
Initially a practice improvement consulting firm, Medical Advantage has strategically adapted to changes in the healthcare market and is today focused on providing services within the value-based care sector. The significant growth potential, along with the need for capital to support such growth,
provided The Doctors Company with an opportunity to find a strategic buyer who recognized the value of Medical Advantage’s capabilities.
The sale of Medical Advantage impacts the qualification criteria for the 2023–2024 Agent/Broker Travel Incentive and Key Agency Program as follows:
Qualified new business revenue generated through the Medical Advantage referral program prior to May 1, 2024, will be prorated to apply to the 2023–2024 Agent/Broker Travel Incentive and the Key Agency Program qualifications ending June 30, 2024.
Any new business revenue generated through the Medical Advantage referral program after May 1, 2024, will not apply to the 2023–2024 Agent/Broker Travel Incentive or the Key Agency Program.

How the 2024 Elections Could Affect Your Clients
The Doctors Company is relentlessly committed to supporting medical liability reform and to safeguarding access to patient care. Nationwide, there are elections up and down the ballot that matter for healthcare practitioners. The 2024 elections could determine the future of patient access to care if policymakers make it harder to provide affordable medical malpractice insurance.
To help your clients gain a better understanding of how these decisions may affect their policy and their practice, please share our latest issue of the Government Relations Advocacy Update.

Great Example of How Patient Safety Provides Value to Your Clients
We recently shared “Mislabeled Diagnostic Specimens Put Lab Team at Risk: Patient Safety Impact Story,” another example showing how our Patient Safety and Risk Management team mitigated risk in a member practice.
A clinical laboratory noticed an increase in tissue specimens arriving mislabeled, prompting a Practice Risk INSIGHT review by our patient safety risk manager. As a result, the lab accelerated efforts to implement a strict new labeling workflow module and require its clients to adopt the new process. Ultimately, the results showed a dramatic reduction in labeling errors.
Please share this story with your clients to help them learn how our experts can partner with them to achieve better outcomes.
