• Mississippi HB 950: Under current Mississippi law, noneconomic damages are limited to a $500,000 cap in medical malpractice actions and a $1 million cap in all other actions. HB 950 would have created a “catastrophic injury” exception permitting $3 million for noneconomic damages. This attempt was defeated.
