The Doctor’s Advocate

Second Quarter 2025 | Archives

In the 2025 grant cycle, The Doctors Company Foundation received a record number of Letters of Intent—107 letters were submitted by the March 19 deadline. The Foundation’s grant review committee will now have the challenging task of evaluating those submissions to select a limited number of projects to move forward to the second phase of the grant making process. Those that are selected will be asked to submit a detailed application, and the Board of Directors will make the final funding decisions at their August meeting. Learn more about the Foundation’s support of patient safety research and training, including recent grants and case studies.

In other news, the Foundation would like to thank two board members whose terms will come to a close this year: Director Charles R. Kossman, MD, PhD, and Director Mary Ann Thode, JD, MPH, RN. Their unique backgrounds and expertise, along with their commitment to patient safety and service to the board, will be greatly missed. Read more about their distinguished careers and the Foundation’s leadership.
