National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Addresses Meeting of Top Healthcare Leaders

Napa, California—August 7, 2019—A top official from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services will share insights about the linkage between health technology and value-based care during an address at a national summit of healthcare leaders August 8 in Napa.

Don Rucker, MD, national coordinator for health information technology from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), will address nearly 100 of the nation’s top healthcare leaders at The Doctors Company’s Executive Advisory Board meeting. He will also discuss key priorities and Affordable Care Act initiatives.

His address, titled “Health Technology and Value-Based Care,” will be delivered to industry leaders brought together annually by The Doctors Company to discuss some of the most pressing issues facing healthcare professionals today.

In addition to Dr. Rucker, speakers also include:

  • Aneesh Chopra, president of CareJourney and former first chief technology officer of the United States, who will address “Data Ethics and Digital Trust.”
  • James Orlikoff, president of Orlikoff & Associates, who will speak on “Healthcare Trends Impacting Liability Exposures, and the Responsibilities of Leadership.”
  • David Feldman, MD, chief medical officer of The Doctors Company Group and senior vice president and chief medical officer at Healthcare Risk Advisors, and Teodor Grantcharov, MD, PhD, FACS, professor of general surgery, University of Toronto, St. Michael’s Hospital. They will discuss “Harnessing the Value of Multiple Data Sources to Reduce Risk.”
