The Doctors Company Assists Members Impacted by Hurricane Florence

Cancellation and Premium Installment Due Dates Will Be Adjusted

Napa, California—September 13, 2018—Due to potential disruption to member medical practices in the Southeast, The Doctors Company announced that it will adjust policy cancellation and premium installment due dates for its members practicing in areas impacted by Hurricane Florence.

Adjustments will be made on a weekly basis to ensure there is no break in coverage for those members unable to make payments due to the effects of the storm.

Members who practice in these areas, and their agents, should contact their underwriter with any questions.

“We will do everything we can to assist our affected members,” said Bill Fleming, COO, The Doctors Company. “Once the storm and its effects have passed, our underwriters will continue to work with any member who was unable to make policy payments because of Hurricane Florence and its aftermath.”

The Doctors Company is also encouraging its employees to volunteer and financially assist victims through qualified nonprofit organizations of their choosing.
