ACP Program Benefits

Premium discounts—for ACP members with favorable claims histories.

Patient safety credit—we also recognize ACP members’ efforts in maintaining their board certification by offering an additional 5 percent patient safety credit. This credit, which is in addition to our ACP program discount, also applies to members who maintain their certification in the internal medicine subspecialties.

Consent to settle—no claim is settled without the consent of the insured physician as long as the policyholder is an active insured of The Doctors Company.

Broad liability limits—options range to $5 million per claim/$7 million annual aggregate. Excess limits and higher options may also be available.

Dividend plan—generous multiyear program for eligible members.

Free tail coverage—for The Doctors Company insureds on full retirement at age 55 or older who have been insured for five years, or who suffer death or permanent and total disability.
