Physician Sentiment on Future of Health Care Detailed in Animated Video

Napa, California—September 17, 2013—The Doctors Company, the nation’s largest physician-owned medical malpractice insurer, announced today that the results of the Future of Health Care Survey are now available in an animated video. The Future of Health Care Survey is one of the largest surveys of physician sentiment as the United States enters a new phase of health care.

More than 5,000 physician members of The Doctors Company responded to the independent survey, revealing that physicians have many concerns as the pace of health care reform accelerates.

The video details physician sentiment about Accountable Care Organizations and about the effect of health care reform on quality of care, patient interaction, the use of defensive medicine, and physician retirement plans.

“As the nation’s largest physician-owned medical malpractice insurer, The Doctors Company has the ability to reach thousands of physicians to ascertain their attitudes, perceptions, and intents on major components of health care reform,” said Stacy Schultz, senior vice president of marketing, The Doctors Company. “We encourage physicians to watch this video, learn what their peers are saying, and share this information with health care providers nationwide.”
