Napa, California—January 8, 2013—The Doctors Company, the nation’s largest medical malpractice insurer, announced today the latest video in its Executive Advisory Board Speaker Series on health care reform. The video, “Sharing Data to Manage Quality and Reduce Costs,” focuses on how electronic health records (EHRs) can be a key to success in managing quality of care and reducing costs.
The video features Laura P. Jacobs, MPH, executive vice president of The Camden Group, a leading national health care business advisory firm. Jacobs was a featured speaker at a symposium of dynamic thought leaders brought together by The Doctors Company to explore topics of importance to modern medical practices in the evolving health care environment.
“In our recent Future of Health Care Survey, which provided an unparalleled representation of the nation’s physicians’ attitudes, perceptions, and intent related to health care reform, 44 percent of physicians said they had either implemented or plan to implement EHRs in the next three years,” said Stacy Schultz, vice president of marketing for The Doctors Company. “Ms. Jacobs’ presentation provides timely insights on how information gathered in EHRs can be leveraged for success.”
