Third Video in Series Features Expert on Integrated Health Care Delivery Systems
Napa, California—October 11, 2012—The Doctors Company, the nation’s largest medical malpractice insurer, announced today the third video in its Executive Advisory Board Speaker Series. This latest addition to the eight-video series focuses on accountable care organizations (ACOs), a new health care model in which providers agree to be accountable for the quality, cost, and overall care of Medicare patients.
The video “Principles for ACO Success: Health Care and Clinical Integration” features Michael H. James, JD, president and CEO of Genesys PHO, a pioneer ACO, and Genesys Integrated Group Practice in Michigan. James discusses important tools for ACO success: putting patients’ needs first, clinical integration, and community engagement.
James was a featured speaker at The Doctors Company’s recent 2012 Executive Advisory Board meeting, a forum where dynamic thought leaders explored topics of importance to modern medical practices in the evolving health care environment. Videos featuring speakers from this meeting will be posted on YouTube weekly through mid-November.
