A study recently published in the Journal of Healthcare Risk Management, “Analysis of Patient Injury Based on Anesthesiology Closed Claims Data from a Major Malpractice Insurer,” reviewed 607 anesthesia-related claims reported by The Doctors Company. This study found that although recent trends show a decline in anesthesia-related deaths, patient injuries do still occur. Patients and physicians can take steps to help reduce these injuries.
These resources are designed to help you share the findings of this important study and educate patients and physicians.
