Trends in Aesthetic Laser Medicine

On November 3, 2006, Northwest Physicians Insurance Company and The Doctors Company will co-sponsor a seminar on trends in aesthetic laser medicine. The seminar will take place from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, Portland Oregon Airport. It is free to all physician members of Northwest Physicians and The Doctors Company who are interested in aesthetics and those with existing aesthetic practices.

Keynote Speaker: Mark B. Taylor, M.D., is a world-renowned dermatologist and cosmetic laser surgeon who has been in practice for over 26 years and is a leader in the field of cosmetic laser surgery, utilizing 30 specialty lasers.

Symposium Topics Include:

  • Aesthetic lasers: where have we been, where are we now, and where are we going?
  • An interactive forum exploring laser complications, including resolution and prevention techniques.
  • Trends in aesthetic treatments, including vascular, dermal fillers, and other ancillary aesthetic procedures.
  • The pitfalls of an unstructured practice; how to build a safe laser practice; ANSI Standards; OSHA’s role.
  • Writing consent forms, making equipment choices, laser safety checklists, pre/post tx guidelines…and more.
